Heat exchangers are mainly used in vacuum distillation systems for cooling and condensation in the absorption and rectification processes in chemical plants. Glass heat exchangers enable visual process control during scale-up and production and processing of multiple (acidic) chemical substances. We offer glass spiral type and shell & tube type heat exchangers. These are often operated in combination with a secondary condenser for additional vapor condensation. The glass spiral heat exchangers can be operated in parallel to form large heat exchange areas for higher condensation performances and larger reactors systems in pilot plants. They feature easy cleaning and operation of cooling media at up to 3 bar pressure.

With the miniPilot product family (reactor, nutsche filter, scrubber) we offer miniplant pilot reactors for chemical process development, scale-up, process simulation and kilo-scale production. The reactors' explosion proof design (ATEX) and inert materials allow safe processing of solvents and acids in a completely sealed reaction vessel. The compact standard reactor setup can easily be modified, interchangeable reaction vessels of 5, 10 and 15 liter including interchangeable stirrers are available. The reaction vessel is installed on a lifting / lowering device to simplify opening and cleaning. The distillation glass overhead is built with flexible ball-socket joints for multiple chemical reactions under full vacuum. A clean-room setup and other materials are available to meet your specific process requirements.

Chemical appearance: Sodium Isopropyl Xanthate (SIPX) is available in the solid powder form or in the shape of pellets. SIPX has the appearance of white to yellowish deliquescent solid in the powder form. The color of the SIPX pellets varies from yellow to green. In the solid powder form, SIPX emits a slightly pungent odour. In the pellet form, SIPX emits a sulphur like odour. Chemical application and strengths: The strength of SIPX for collection is slightly higher than that of ethyl xanthate. Therefore, it serves as the perfect tool for the flotation of nonferrous metallic sulfide minerals in the form of a collector. Xanthates have been known for being an integral part of sulfide mineral flotation. SIPX is actually a salt that contains a non-polar hydrocarbon group that helps in the hydrophobic nature of sulfide material, thereby pointing out from the mineral to the solution.
